DAY 1: Oct 5, 2017 - The journey begins...
Today is epic.
October 5. It’s a Thursday, an ideal fall day. The sun is shining, the sky is it’s deepest shade of blue and dotted with wisps of clouds slowly drifting by in a slight breeze.
Our to-do list is complete (for now). Our new home is ready for adventure. Our way of living and thinking about things is changing.
Today is the beginning of a new journey. We don’t know yet where it will take us. Our plans have changed incredibly over the past two years of scheming, but they seem to be continuously improving. It’s all I can ask for.
All I know for sure is that we are insanely fortunate. I’m about to spend the foreseeable future exploring the country, riding bikes and playing outside with my best friend, in the grown-up fort that we have toiled over for the past 6 months, with lots of late nights racing sunset, many swear words and fuck ups, assembly and disassembly and reassembly, scratching heads and tossing out old plans. (And lots of assistance and support from family and friends!)
